摘要：Este artigo desenvolve uma análise intertextual do conto “A Bela e a Fera ou a ferida grande demais” (1977), de Clarice Lispector (1920-1977), com a finalidade de destacar, para além do diálogo com o conto de fadas explicitado no título, a presença de outras narrativas dessa categoria como Cinderela e A Bela Adormecida ; e de narrativas mais antigas ainda: O Nascimento de Eros (Platão), Eros e Psique (Apuleio) e o mito de Narciso. A hipótese que o trabalho sustenta é a de que a intertextualidade do conto em questão remete-nos à especial circunstância em que Clarice produziu a narrativa: o agravamento de sua doença e a proximidade de sua morte, fatos que fazem do conto uma espécie de balanço existencial conciso da escritora que agrega, de modo mais evidente, à tradicional perspectiva existencial de sua escrita, a dimensão social que também emerge em A Hora da Estrela (1977).
其他摘要：This article develops an intertextual analysis of Clarice Lispector's short story " Beauty
and the beast or the enormous wound" (1977), with the central objective of highlighting
and understanding the function of the intertextual dialogue established with the fairy
tale made explicit in the title, as well as the presence of other fairy tales in the same
category, such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty” (Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm),
besides older narratives, such as “The Birth of Eros” (Plato), “Eros and Psyche”
(Apuleius), and the myth of Narcissus. Furthermore, this paper argues that the intertextuality revealed in the tale in question may lead us to the special circumstance in
which Lispector produced it; that is, her aggravating health condition and the proximity
of her death, facts that suggest some kind of a concise existential balance made by her,
which adds more clearly to the traditional existential perspective of her writing, the
social dimension that also emerges in A Hora da Estrela (1977).
