摘要：São constantes as inquietações relacionadas à operação dos sistemas da medicina e da saúde, o tema foi observado por Luhmann de modo bastante generalista, visto que foi um dos últimos sistemas a ser estudado pelo autor. Contemporaneamente, especialmente a partir da tradução do capítulo de Luhmann sobre a medicina, iniciaram-se as diferentes abordagens sistêmicas sobre o sistema da medicina. O desassossego da operação do sistema da medicina está associado ao papel curativo que ela desempenha. Em tese, nessa análise, não haveria referência ao papel preventivo e, tampouco, a sua relação com o sistema da saúde. Esse foi o objetivo do artigo: analisar os limites dessa relação e indicar como a prevenção está inserida nesse contexto. O presente artigo é fruto da evolução do percurso de pesquisa traçado pelos autores, que em momento anterior realizaram uma analítica do sistema da medicina e da sua operacionalidade a partir do seu código binário próprio, com o intuito de visualizar o espaço da prevenção na relação do sistema médico com o sistema da saúde no contexto da Teoria dos Sistemas Sociais. O artigo apresentou a confirmação desse percurso teórico, utilizando a vacinação como locus privilegiado para a observação da relação da prevenção com o sistema da medicina e da saúde.
其他摘要：There are constant concerns related to the operation of the medical and
health systems, the subject was observed by Luhmann in a very general way,
since it was one of the last systems to be studied by the author. At the same
time, especially from the translation of Luhmann's chapter on medicine, the
different systemic approaches to the medical system began. The uneasiness
of the operation of the medical system is associated with its curative role. In
theory, in this analysis, there would be no reference to the preventive role,
nor its relationship with the health system. This was the purpose of the
article: to analyze the limits of this relationship and to indicate how
prevention is inserted in this context. This article is the result of the
evolution of the research path traced by the authors, who in an earlier
moment performed an analysis of the medical system and its operation from
its own binary code, in order to visualize the space of prevention in the
relationship between medical system with the health system in the context
of Social Systems Theory. The article presented the confirmation of this
theoretical path, using vaccination as a privileged locus for observing the
relationship between prevention and the medical and health system.
