摘要：No presente ensaio, os autores propõem uma análise a respeito da convivência institucional entre o presidencialismo de coalizão e o multipartidarismo sob a égide da Constituição de 1988. Propõe-se que a vivência constitucional brasileira conformou incentivos institucionais que fomentaram uma fragmentação da representação partidária no Congresso Nacional, o que, ao final, terminaram por alterar os padrões de interação entre os poderes executivo e legislativo.
其他摘要：In this essay, the authors propose an analysis about the institutional coexistence between the presidentialism coalition and the multiparty system under the Brazilian Constitution of 1988. We propose that the Brazilian constitutional experience created institutional incentives that promoted a fragmentation of the political party representation in Congress, what, in the end, changed the patterns of relationship between the executive and the legislative branches in Brazil.
