摘要：A violência conjugal é algo histórico que significa ação executada sem cuidado ou uso de força excessiva a fim de causar danos ao parceiro. Objetivou-se, por meio da correlação e regressão, verificar a relação das formas de legitimações da violência conjugal com a autoestima, satisfação com a vida e personalidade. Participaram 305 respondentes da população geral, a maioria do sexo feminino (63%), com idades entre 18 e 62 anos (M = 28,45, DP = 10,65), residentes da Paraíba (88,9%). Foram usadas a Escala de Crenças de Violência Conjugal, a Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg, Inventário de Personalidade de Dez Itens e a Escala de Satisfação com a Vida, analisados no IBM SPSS Statistics 21. Os resultados indicaram a correlação negativa entre os fatores legitimação da violência e autoestima, assim como também com os fatores de personalidade. E, por fim, a regressão indicou que os fatores pessoais predizem as crenças de legitimação da violência conjugal.
其他摘要：Conjugal violence is something historic that means action taken without care or use of excessive force to
cause damage to the partner. The objective is through correlation and regression, verify the relation of
forms of legitimation of violence, with self-esteem, life satisfaction and personality. 305 respondents participated
in the general population, mostly female (63%) aged between 18 and 62 years (M = 28.45, SD =
10.65), residents of Paraíba (88.9%). We used Beliefs in Couple Violence Scale, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Ten
Item Personality Inventory and Life Satisfaction Scale, analyzed in IBM SPSS Statistics 21. The results indicated a
negative correlation between the factors legitimizing violence and self-esteem, as well as with personality
factors. And finally, the regression indicated that personal factors predict the beliefs of legitimizing conjugal
violence.
