摘要：Population exchange agreement have been adopted between Turkey and Greece in the period between 1923–38.The Turkish government worked on solved the problem of the settlement of the nomadic tribe in this period.The Ottoman state also wanted to resettle tribes and He has set up a commission in 1917.But commission due to the country’s war conditions was not successful.Activities on inner settlement began to be implemented regularly beginning from 1925 and continued in the 1930’s especially in central Anatolia,mediterranean and Aegean parts of Turkey.Nomadic tribes (asiret),inhabitants who were not able to earn their life from their inhabitance,settlement emerged for security and economy reasons were the elements of inner settlement.İn this article,Ataturk era resettlement policy of the nomadic tribes were investigated.
