摘要：The aim of this study is to examine the sociology of Niyazi Berkes, one of the most productive names among Turkish intellectuals, in a historical context. It is possible to classify the sociological works of Niyazi Berkes who has important academic involvements in terms of institutionalization and development of Turkish sociology under three themes: social structure, modernization and intellectuals. In this study, the analysis of these three themes will be interpreted and the status of practice of social science analysis in Turkey will be explored.
其他摘要：Bu çalışmanın amacı Türk düşünce dünyasının en üretken isimlerinden biri olan Niyazi Berkes'in sosyolojisini tarihsel bir bağlam içerisinde ele almaktır. Türk sosyolojisinin kurumsallaşması ve gelişimi açısından önemli akademik müdahalelerde bulunan Niyazi Berkes'in sosyoloji alanındaki üretimlerini üç tema altında sınıflandırmak mümkündür: toplumsal yapı, çağdaşlaşma ve aydınlar. Bu çalışmada üç temaya yönelik çözümlemeleri yorumlanacak ve çözümlemelerinin Türkiye'deki sosyal bilim pratiğindeki yeri anlaşılmaya çalışılacaktır.
