摘要:Currently, are used the next methods of applying the image to the metal: offset, screen, tampon, Grawerton (thermosublimation), thermal transfer, jet sublimation, aluminum matt, metalography, laser sublimation.Printing on metals is used for making souvenirs, designing business-class products, advertising, as well as for making packages (cylindrical and tapered glasses, cylinders, aluminum tubes, etc.). Printing is mainly a way of offset printing.For the research was chosen the technology of thermosublimation, since it is the cheap and easy and most commonly used for low-volume production.Experimental studies of the reproduction of stroke elements, text information for the type family of the main fonts with serifs and without them have been implemented as well as the thickness of the thin and space strokes has been determined.In order to evaluate the prints on the metal using the method of thermosublimation printing, it is necessary to conduct a research of their quality.Nowadays there is a row of studies on technology of printing on various materials, namely textiles, ceramics, metals and others which make it impossible to evaluate the applying the text and illustration information on the metal surface by thermosetting printing.Experimental studies of the quality of reproduction of stroke elements, serifs, small and medium fonts on a metal (Aluminum coated under ‘gold’ and ‘silver’ with a thickness of 0.5 mm) by thermosetting printing as well as relative indicator of distortion of text information were measured taking into account the deformation of the thin and the space strokes.It is noted that while printing the text information using the thermosetting, it is necessary to pay attention to the temperature of the transferring to obtain a clear contour as well as to use a font family without serifs. In addition to the last, the size of such font family should be no less than 6 points.The article emphasized that it is possible not to take into account the color of the metal being whether ‘gold’ or ‘silver’ in the case of the strokes color being black.
