摘要:Purpose - Labor productivity is extremely important to theprofitability and competitive advantage of organizations that provideservices to customers,such as banks.This study investigates thefactors driving labor productivity in Iran’s Melli Bank.Research designs,data,methodology - Five managerial,psychosocial,cultural,and individual factors are identified and theirrelative importance for labor productivity prioritized using AHP.Therequired data are then collected through a questionnaire designed fora pairwise comparison of the driving factors of labor productivity andtheir subcategories.Results- The study outcomes reveal that the managerial andindividual factors are the most important.Specifically,the mostimportant factors in increasing labor productivity in the branches ofMelli Bank are having a competent supervisor,promotionopportunities,fair working conditions,conscientiousness,the righttools,and a correspondence between skills and work.Conclusion - Implementing AHP using Expert Choice softwarerevealed that,among the driving factors of labor productivity (i.e.,managerial,psychosocial,cultural,environmental,and personal),managerial factors were considered the most important by therespondents.
