摘要：The aim of of this study was to describe the relationship between motivation to work and welfare on the performance of Junior High School mathematics teacher in Pekanbaru,Riau. The study was con- ducted in September 2011 to September 2012. Population and sample of this study consisted of 334 and 117 mathematics teachers in Pekanbaru,respectively. The instrument was a questionnaire form of Likert scale to measure motivation to work,welfare and performance of mathematics teacher. Data were analy- zed by descriptive and inferential,ie linear regression analysis,a simple correlation analysis,multiple linear regression analysis and multiple linear correlation analysis. The results showed that motivation to work,welfare and performance of mathematics teacher categorized as high with the percentage of 81.13%,72.60% and 78.60%,respectively. The results also showed that the relationship between motiva- tion to work and welfare of the performance of mathematics teacher by 66%. Influence of motivation to work on performance of mathematics teacher by 30.90% and influence of the welfare on the performance of mathematics teacher by 23.3%.
