摘要:Well adequate chemistry competence is importance for public health undergraduates,so that they can perform well. Since the undergraduate candidates have various education background,they need to follow matriculation before entering the program in order to have the same perception about health chemistry subject,which is often considered hard. This study aims to know about how well the student’s competence on chemistry subject before and after the matriculation. The result is used to determine teaching strategies and we hope for optimal learning result in the end of the class. Used research method is survey,using pretest,posttest,and questionnaire. The research model is observational descriptive,to see the overall student’s competence in health chemistry subject,the amount of samples are 31 students. The result shows that there’s increasing in posttest score compared to its pretest,the average increment is 37.6%. As well as number of graduated students,from 7 students become 22,there’s a significant increasing about 48.4%. The result of this research shows that matriculation is important to participant with various education background. There are weaknesses in class:no practice,low in activity,and lack of class benefit. This research need to be developed to overcome these weaknesses.
