摘要:This research aimed to (1) develop a qualified learning kit of science-based on living values for VIII grade students;and (2) develop a character and positive attitude towards science of junior high school students. This research used Thiagarajan development model that consists of 4 stages including:define,design,develop,and disseminate. The populations were three parallel class VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Wates. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. Class VIIIB was as the experimental class and the control class was class VIIIC. This research used observation sheet, questionnaire sheet and moral dilemmas sheet to collected the data. The analysis characters of observation data used Independent Samples t – Test with a significance level of 0.05. The positive attitude questionnaire of data was analyzed by using two – samples independent test of Mann Whitney test with a significance level of 0.05. The answer of moral dilemma was analyzed by descriptive qualitative analysis. The research showed that learning instrument was categorized "very good” that is appropriate to be used in learning. There was significant difference in positive attitudes and responsibilities character between the experimental and control class. There was not significant difference in curiosity and social care character.
