摘要：An important issue international firms must face is the evaluation and control of working capital investment.Many studies dealing with working capital management have focused on the practices used by multinational enterprises in developed markets.In this study we analyze the working capital decisions taken by firms from an emerging markets perspective.Due to their characteristics,emerging economies present unique challenges to managers.We examine the funding working capital requirements including inter-company and external sources of financing used to meet working capital requirements.General Motors'Polish operations highlight several important funding issues associated with emerging market operations.
