摘要:The aim of this paper is to analyse and compare the progress in transition and inflow of foreign direct investment(FDI)in South East European(SEE)and Caucasus countries.Even there are huge differences between the two regions they share a number of common characteristics and developments, including political and economic turmoil which strongly affected the transition process and inflow of FDI in both regions. These regions mostly completed the initial phase of transition and achieved a certain degree of macroeconomic stability, but are still lagging when progress in institutional reforms and political stability are in question. As institutional reforms and political stability are crucial for the private sector development, long term prosperity and inflow of FDI,the absence of such reforms would keep economic recovery and inflow of FDI unsustainable.
