  • 摘要:The study aims to explore the influence of electronic human resource management (E-HRM) systems in decisionmaking specifically to uncover the benefits and challenges of using E-HRM systems in the human resource management (HRM) functions of South African tertiary institutions.By examining the influence of E-HRM systems on HRM functions,this research should enable the HR managers to improve their HR functions.For credible results,a combination of both qualitative and quantitative research methods is employed.This research design enables researchers to have a better understanding of a study from a subjective and objective point of view since it involves the use of in-depth interviews,and well formulated questionnaires.The data collected are analyzed by using the statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS).The study finds a majority appreciation of the benefits of E-HRM,albeit certain challenges are experienced in its utilization.Based on the findings,some recommendations are made.
