摘要:The purpose of this study was to determine shoulder strength characteristics of elite jun ior fem ale volleyball players.Twelve female volleyball players aged 13 to 16 years volunteered for this investigation.Strength tests,executed on both shoulders,were performed in a position resembling that during serving and spiking in volleyball.Isokinetic flexion-abduction-external rotation (F-AB-ER) and extension-adduction-intemal rotation (E-AD-IR) strength of the shoulders were measured at speeds of 30o∕s,2406∕s and 400o∕s using an isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex 6000)∙ The antagonist to agonist peak torque ratio was calculated through the ratio of the peak torques for F-AB-ER and E-AD-IR.The Wilcoxon test was used to compare the data.Peak torque of the E-AD-IR pattern on the dominant shoulder ιυas significantly higher than that of the non-dominant shoulder at all test speeds (p
