摘要:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between isokinetic strength of the knee joint and vertical jumping performance in elite female volleyball players.A total of 15 state-level of club teams players aged 22.J ± 4.7 yrs volunteered for the present study.Skinfold measures, body fat ratios and vertical jumping heights were measured.Knee extensor (quadriceps) and flexor (hamstrings) strength of both legs were measured by using an isokinetic dynamometer (Cybex II,Lumex Inc"NY) at angular velocities o f 60,180f and 300o∕s.Isokinetic pe ak torque (Nm) and peak torque/body weight (Nm/kg) scores of the hamstring and quadriceps and their ratios (H∕Q) were determined. The data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation. Results were compared with relevant literature for other populations of athletes. In conclusion, the findin gs of the present study revealed lower levels than those of previous studies, and there were no significant correlations between isokinetic knee strength and vertical jumping height except for extension p ea k torque/kg at 180 °∕ s for the right leg, extension pe ak torque/kg and flexion pe ak torque/kg at 300°∕s for the left leg (p<0.05).Vertical jumping that is a combining act,and isokinetic strength test that measures the strength of isolated muscle groups provide comparable results.
