摘要:The aim of this study was to investigate passiv e knee joint position sense in individuals with anterior knee pain and control subjects.A total of 24 sed entary male patients (mean age:23,3 ± 3.6) with unilateral anterior kn ee pa in and control group 24 hea lthy male volunteers (mean age:22.6 ± 2.9) were enrolled in the stu dy.For the evaluation of k nee proprioceptive ability,pa ssive joint position sens e wa s me asu red by continuous pa ssive motion mode with an isokinetic dyn amometer (Cybex Normt USA) at 1./ sec angular speed.Subjects'knees were moved from the starting position o f 25° toward flexio n a nd from the starting position o f 65 o tow ard extension,to a ss es s the 40° an d 50° test angles respectively.Independent samp les t-test tυas performed to compare error scores between the two groups.Pas sive joi nt position sens e error scores were measured in anterior knee pain and control groups as 3.1 ± 2.2° and 1.9 ± 1.0° (p<0.05) fo r 40°;as 2.4 ± 1.2° and 1.4 ± 0.7.(p<0∙01)for 50°,respectively.The prese nt stud y revealed tha t joi nt position se ns e ιυas les s accurate an d less con sistent in individuals with patellofemoral pa in compared ιυith controls.Consequently,ba sed on the results of this s tu d y,仕 would seem appropriate to include proprioceptive reeducation in the managem ent of patellofemoral pain syndrome.
