摘要：Chronic groin pain is a frequent iryury in footba ll players du e to the biomechanics of the forced kick motion causing the abdomen muscles,groin,flexors a nd adductor musc les to endure recurrent stresse s.Groin pain mostly occurs following the strains of these m uscles and tendons.Myositis ossificans in a dductor muscles is a rare c au se of chronic groin pain in foo tba ll players.No ca se s about myositis ossificans in adductor muscles of ath letes are reported in literature except two cases in which the iliopsoas muscle was involved.The aim of this case report is to em phasize the necessity of direct radiography in the diagnostic approach of sports medicine physicians to athletes with chronic groin pain and to remind of the possibility of myositis ossificans development in adductor muscles as a cause o f chronic groin pain.
