摘要:Combined injuries of the anterior (ACL) and posterior cruciate ligaments (PCL) are rare and no evident knowledge on the rehabilitation of this type of injury is present.We would like to d isc uss the rehabilitation process of a case vυith ACL and PCL injury.The patient ιυas 40 years old and complained o f left knee pain,difficulties during tυalking and restriction of flexibility.Examination revealed (3+) anterior drawer test,(+3) posterior drawer test,(+) Lachman test,(+) posterior tibial sagging test and (+) active quadriceps test.X-ray revealed osteoarthroses in the left knee.The patient told us that he had a hyperextention sports injury last year.He has been arthroscopically operated.ATT graft was used for the ACL and achilles tendon graft for the PCL.Postoperative rehabilitation was initiated following surgical operation.Pain and effusion were managed,ROM enhanced,strength and endurance increased,and proprioception returned to its former level.There is no consensus among specialists concerning the rehabilitation of multiple-ligament injury of the knee.Although there are similarities betw een our protocol and other rehabilitation recommendations,there are diverging points too.It is believed that rehabilitation is going to be standardised with the increasing body of knowledge.
