摘要:This stud y wa s desig ned to determ ine the echocardiographic characteristics of elite soccer players, aged 20 to 33 yea rs (25.4 ± 4.5 years),and to investigate the relationships between their echocardiographic fi ndin gs and aerobic and anaerobic features.Eighteen elite male soccer players who were training for 7 to 23 years (14.3 ± 4.5 years) volunteered, for the study.Maximal oxygen consumption and Wingate tests were applied to each subject Echocardiographic examinations were also performed.Partial correlation analysis was used to detect the relationships between the variables.Although 44 % of the players displayed changes associated with eccentric hypertrophy, cardiac dimensions were found to be within normal limits. There was no statistically significant correlation between echocardiographic variables and, aerobic and anaerobic test results. In the light of the findings,it can be concluded that, based on pre-season evaluation of soccer players who volunteered for this study, aerobic and anaerobic features did not relate with cardiac structure.
