摘要:The purpose of this study was to assess acute and chronic effects of continuous (4800 m) and extensive interval (4x1200 m) running exercises on some haematological parameters in 15-16 year-old male basketball players.A total of 36 boys were randomly classified as continuous running (CRt n=12)f extensive interval running (IR,n=12),and control (Cf n=12) groups. The running groups trained three times a week fo r eight weeks.Haematological parameters were analysed via the blood samples taken before and following each training.Plasma volume (PV) changes were calculated from haematocrit (Het) and haemoglobin (Hb) and necessary corrections were made.Following training,maxVO2 increased in both groups (p<0.01).Although some acute increases were foun d in leucocyte counts following the first and last sessions (p<0.01)f resting values decreased after eight weeks (p<0.05).No changes were observed following the last session in the levels of Het,MCH,MCHC and MCVt which displayed significant a cute decrea ses following the firs t session. In the IR group,an opposite trend to the one observed in the CR group was observed (including erythrocyte, and Hb).Consequently,CR and IR exercises of two monthsi duration caused significant acute decreases in the the levels of haematological parameters (except leucocyte) in male basketball players aged 15-16.On the other hand, while both type of exercises caused acute increases in leucocyte levels, leucocyte was the only parameter with significant chronic decrea ses.
