摘要：Large number o f studies have tested the effect of exercise regimens on lipid peroxidation,but information on the effect of sprint exercise on tissue lipid peroxidation levels is rare.The p resent study ιvas des igned to determine the effect of sprint exercise on lipid peroxidation in skeletal muscle.Mice of experimental group were made to run on the 5° slope treadmill f or a 30-s effort at 35 m ∕min,wit h a 30-s rest interval.This procedure wa s applied for 15 bouts.They were killed by dislocation,imm ediately after the exercise.Their gastrocnemius muscle was quickly removed.Blood lactate and muscle thiobarbituric acid reactive sub sta nces levels increas ed imm edia tely afte r exercise.In conclusion,acu te sprint exercise can c ause oxidative stress in ske letal muscle.
