摘要:The aim of this study was to compare plasma and saliva lactate levels,to give training directions during anaerobic loading.A total o f 14 male students, from Sports High School,Faculty of Education,SDUf were used as sub jects (age 22.1 ±2.0).Wingate and 400 m run tests were applied to subjects with a 48 h interval.Blood and saliva samples were taken from the sub jects before and at the 5th and 15th minutes following loading.Lactate levels were determined in saliva and plasma by an enzymatic method using lactate-PAP kits.Concentrations of plasma and saliva lactate after the 400 m run were respectively as follows:in basal resting (3.3±0.8 and 0.15±0.08 mmol∕l,r=0.35),at the 5th min (13.0±l∙7 and 0.47±0.43 mm ol∕lt r=0.01) and at the 15th min (11.7± 2.3 and 0.88±0.51 mmol/1,r=0.14)t There were no significant correlations among the measurements. In the Wingate protocol, the relations between plasma and saliva of basal resting (2.6±0.3 and 0.10±0.08 mmol∕lt r=0A0) and 15th min sam ples (10.5±2A and0.43±0.32 mmol/1,r=0.47) were not significant. However, the relation between plasma and saliva lactates of the 5th min samples (12.6±2.1 and 0.22±0.1 7 mmol/1,r=0.7S,p<0.05) was found to be significant On the other hand,in both protocols,no significant relation was foun d between plasma and saliva peaks values (400 m r=0.09,Wingate r=0.36).It is concluded,at the end of this study, that saliva lactate is not as significant a parameter in providing training directions as blood lactate.A s there are conflicting views in the literature, more research is needed to be done on this subject.
