摘要:Exercise causes more free radicals by increasing O2 comsumption and metabolic processes.Exercise and the subsequent production of reactive oxygen species may overwhelm the ability of the endogenous and exogenous antioxidant defences leading to increased lipid peroxidation.Although acute exercise in animals has resulted in an increase in tissue lipid peroxidation, the data on lipid peroxidation in humans is sparse and not at all in agreement. In this study, sedantary persons aged 18-22 years (19.2 ± 0.3) who cycled on ergometer at 85 % maxVo2 for 5 minutes, the changes in plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were studied. There was not a significant difference in plasma MDA level after the exercise (1.34 ± 0,06i 1.61 ÷ 0.09 nmol/ml respectively). It is thought that the amount of oxygen free radicals produced by 85 0∕o maxVO2 exercise did not exceed the capacity of antioxidant defences.
