摘要：This paper investigated the Trends in Science Teaching Practices in-classroom science related activities among general education science teachers in Saudi Arabia from their supervisors’ perspectives.In addition,the supervisor's point of view about the importance of scientific related instructional activities was assessed.The data were collected through a validated questionnaire (19 items),which was administered to a random sample of 60 science supervisors (32 males,28 females) from various parts of the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia.The results revealed that supervisors judged classroom activities of science teachers as teacher-centered rather than student-centered.As for supervisors’ estimates of the importance of teaching activities,the results indicated that they believed that the most important teaching activities were: developing the skills of science processes,and "impementing experiments to verify the information,and providing students with correct scientific ideas.The results showed that the least important activities were those that made the students active participants in the learning process.It was concluded that science supervisors were inclined to traditional activities that made the teacher and not the student the central core for the learning process.
其他摘要：هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة التوجهات في ممارسة األنشطة التدريسية العلمية لدل معلمي العلوـ في مراحل التعليم العاـ بالمملكة العربية السعودية من كجهة نظر المشرفين التربويين كإلى معرفة تقديرات المشرفين التربويين ألهمية الممارسات كاألنشطة التدريسية التي تضمنتها أداة الدراسة.كلتحقيق غرض الدراسة فقد تم جمع البيانات من خبلؿ استبانة محك مة مكونة من 93 فقرة موزعة على محورين أعدت لهذا الغرض ككزعت على عينة عشوائية مكونة من 06 مشرفا تربويا على معلمي العلوـ )23 من الذكور ك32 من اإلناث(.كقد أشارت النتائج إلى أف المشرفين التربويين يركف أف معلمي العلوـ يمارسوف األنشطة العلمية التعليمية التقليدية كالتي تجعل من المعلم كليس المتعلم محورا للعملية التعليمية.كحوؿ تقديرات المشرفين التربويين ألهمية األنشطة التدريسية فقد أشارت النتائج إلى أنهم يركف أف أكثر األنشطة التدريسية أهمية هي "تطوير مهارات عميات العلم" ك"تنفيذ التجارب للتأكد من صحة المعلومات "ك"تقديم األفكار العلمية الصحيحة للطلبة".كما دلت النتائج إلى أف أقل األنشطة أهمية هي تلك التي تجعل من الطالب مشاركا فعاال في عملية التعلم.كهذا يدؿ على أف المشرفين التربويين كالمشرفات على مدرسي مواد العلوـ يميلوف نحو األنشطة التقليدية كالتي تجعل من المعلم كليس الطالب محورا لعملية التعلم.
