摘要：Purpose – The main aim of the study is to examine the relationship between foreign trade and migration in the Russian Federation,and an attempt to explain the reasons for revealed relationships,inter alia – on the basis of selected theories in this respect. Research method – The study was based on the statistical analysis of statistical data on trade and migration in the Russian Federation between 2001 and 2017. Results – The study revealed that in the case of the Russian Federation,trade and migration are substitutes.Originality /value – Research on the relationship between foreign trade and migration has not been carried out so far in relation to Russia. Thus,the study can be a contribution to further research on international migration.
