摘要：lies more with the grammar than with the vocabulary. This is true,inasmuch as among the most frequent difficulties that non-technical students are likely to encounter,the linguistic ones which are brought about by the students’ lack of knowledge regarding the grammar rules,are virtually more common than the referential ones (caused by the students’ lack of knowledge as far as the terminology of a particular domain is concerned). Due to the fact that the passive constructions have the highest frequency in scientific and technical English,they often create translation difficulties to most nonphilological students..
