摘要：While the water resources,which are the most essential element of life,are consumed day by day,the population of the human race which consumes much more than the other living things in nature is gradually increasing. In the past hundred years,the world population has increased sevenfold in this sense,while drinking and using water resources have declined significantly. In this sense,it is possible to talk about the existence of a global water crisis. However,this situation shows that this crisis will deepen day by day. In Turkey it is known to decrease dramatically the quality of the water with water flow. Turkey is also envisaged in later times can be counted among the water-poor countries. A number of measures have been taken by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs in recent years. In particular,important criteria have been introduced for the digitization and distribution of the water consumed,especially for drinking and using,and it is aimed to complete the digitization activities and reduce the water losses to a certain level after the prescribed time intervals. In this article,it will be mentioned that the importance of digitization of infrastructure facilities and reduction of water losses in local governments. A general assessment will be made based on the current situation on the basis of these two important points.
