摘要:In this study,we aimed to evaluate the textbooks in terms of mathematics according to teachers' opinions. This research is based on the theoretical framework created a textbook review by Charalambous,Delaney,Hsu and Mesa (2010). The method of research is case studies which is a qualitative research model. The research population constitutes math teachers who work in schools depends on the Ministry of Education in Turkey. The sample of the study consisted of 65 mathematics teachers who work in schools connected to the Ministry of Education in the various provinces. Maximum variation sampling method of purposeful sampling method was used for determining math teachers. As a data collection tool, the standard open-ended interview approach which Patton (1987)’ s interview approaches was used. 10. class math lesson lower learning area of processes and applications with functions was wanted to determine by teachers with interview forms created from the theoretical framework that Charalambous et al.,(2010) create for textbook review. Content analysis method was used in order to analyze the data obtained from form of interviews. In these two books which have been analyzed at the end of the study,it has been found that the lecturing is sufficient but how it has been related to daily life is insufficient. It also has been found that the definitions and rules are sufficient but the statements which are remindful for prior knowledge are insufficient. It has been stated that the number of the samples are sufficient but the variety of them is insufficient. It has been indicated that there are no mathematical modeling and open ended questions in these books but there are multiple-choice questions in terms of the variety of the questions.
