  • 摘要:This study aimed to examine the applications of the teachers regarding the teaching to students with mild intellectual disabilities of mathematical concepts and skills in their classes. Sample group of the study was composed of 10 special education teachers employed in special education schools in Sakarya. Semi-structured interview technique was used in data collection. Data were collected using a semistructured interview form prepared by the researchers. Descriptive analysis technique was utilized to analyze data. Data were summarized and interpreted with the help of descriptive analysis technique. As a result of research,teachers working in special education schools stated that they made an individualized education and training plan during the teaching of mathematics concepts and skills. Teachers stated that they gave examples from the close environment of the student in order to attract and maintain the students' attention during the teaching of mathematical concepts and skills.
