摘要:This study aims to determine and discuss the factors affecting the scientific creativity levels of secondary school students based on qualitative data. In the research,the "scientific creativity test",adapted to Turkish by Deniş-Celiker and Balim (2012),developed by Hu and Adey (2002),was used to determine the students' scientific creativity levels. The research's data collection tool is a semistructured interview form consisting of open-ended questions aiming at explaining the factors affecting scientific creativity. This research,aimed at determining the current situation and based on qualitative data,is a case study. Deviant case sampling method was used in determining the participants of the study. The study was attended by 32 secondary school students who were selected according to the scientific creativity test scores from the students who studied in a secondary school in Konya province. The qualitative data obtained were evaluated using descriptive analysis method,and the students' statements were interpreted under three main themes: awareness of the nature of science,activities related to science lesson,support and guidance of families. The results show that students' awareness of the nature of science,the frequency and the variety of science activities in the school and outside,their families' guidance and support effect scientific creativity of the students positively. According to these results,it can be suggested that students' awareness regarding the nature of science should be increased and their participation in science activities should be provided more to enhance students' scientific creativity.
