摘要：The biodata of Maria Ilnicka,known predominantly as the editor of “Bluszcz”, is deeply flawed and imprecise,due to faulty archive research and a superficial approach to certain aspects. One issue that has not been sufficiently explored is attributing the authorship of the 1863 uprising manifesto to Ilnicka. Another detail that requires clarification is the method of promulgating the editor’s conservative point of view,shying from emancipatory movements and severely limiting women’s sphere of activity,which resulted in “Bluszcz” being a non-feminist periodical,despite public opinion to the contrary. The paper highlights these and related issues,adjudicating some and merely touching on the others..
