摘要:In the second half of the 18th and the first half of the 19th century, the seigneurial enterprise underwent considerable changes, which were related to the proto-industrialisation and mercantilist efforts of the state to promote production and trade in its own territory. An example of manufacturing industry documents the efforts of the proto-industrial small businesses to make profit and earn a livelihood. It aims to present the rival lessees of a seigneurial mangle in the small village of Koloredov, which was set up in 1790 on the parcellated ground of the former manor court, with the burghers in the neighbouring town of Místek and competitive mangles on the Silesian side of the border in Frýdek. The townspeople actively participated in the production and trade in canvas, exported products to distant centres, and had eminent interest in reducing their dependence on the seigneurial workshops processing their products. At the same time, the seigneurial authority endeavoured to protect its mangle operators and grant them a monopoly, which proved to be unjustified during the first half of the 19th century, and the burghers, with the help of the state authorities, endeavoured to establish their own mangles. It was a thorny path to ‘independence’. Interaction between town and village took place in the relevant territory in many other economic sectors..
