摘要：Research on audience receptions on radio drama “Parahara Tegalreja” aims to determine the reception or audience response of the Yogyakarta community. From the reception it will be known whether the respondent considers “Parahara Tegalreja” as a work that is (1) very bad,(2) bad,(3) sufficient,(4) good,(5) very good. The meaning of this radio drama is determined by the dominance of their judgments on these five aspects. This study uses a quantitative method. The theory used to approach the object of research is the theory of theater reception. Reception theory is a theory that examines the audience’s acceptance of his appreciation of works of art. Reception theory talks about how people other than authors or creators contribute to the meaning of a work of art. The results of this study indicate that of the 151 respondents,50% of them consider the radio drama “Prahara Tegalreja” to show good quality. Approximately 40% of respondents rated “Tempest Tegalreja” as good. Respondents who rated this drama were bad and very bad at less than 5%. It can be concluded that the percentage of respondents who perceived this radio drama as a quality work amounted to 50% + 40%: 90%. This means that most respondents responded or received the radio drama well. Thus this drama is good for community enjoyment.
