摘要:The subject of the article is a metaobjective reflection on different types of knowledge (scientific, philosophical, theological) concerning a human being, and on the relations between theories based on such types of knowledge, according to one of the main representatives of the Lublin Philosophical School – Stanisław Kamiński. The multitude of science areas concerning a human being results from human complexity as well as varied methods and aspects of its analysis.According to Kamiński, modern philosophy offers several ways to learn about a human being in a philosophical manner.Such ways include a metaobjective (scientistic) concept according to which onetries to synthesize the knowledge of a human being on the basis of science, and two strictly philosophical concepts: subjective and epistemological, as well as objective and epistemological. In the former, a person is described with reference to the phenomenon of their self-consciousness or to the interpretation of signs (language).Despite their cognitive achievements, each of such cognition types has its limits and is unable to provide complete and objective knowledge of a human being. The subjective and epistemological concept is the most reliable, as it explains the complexity of a human being within the context of learning about the reality in a metaphysical way. However, this concept does not answer all the human questions arising in everyday experience. Therefore, Kamiński finds it necessary to accept the fact that there are many different theories concerning a human being. Moreover, he specifies principles according to which these theories should be matched, as theories cannot be matched in any possible way.
