摘要:Polish companies are growing but the results of their development are not yet satisfactory for various reasons, including the low quality of human resource management. In 2017, Poland had the highest employee turnover of all EU countries. According to the employees, they often change their place of employment because they look for better working conditions, and therefore that process seems to be beyond the control of employers. The phenomenon of employee turnover is often commented positively and it is associated with high labor mobility in Poland. It results from a large number of workers willing to take up employment outside the country. This has both positive and negative effects on the country’s economy. Meanwhile, the risk of losing their jobs (which also is one of the highest in the EU) is conducive to looking for employment opportunities abroad. Thus, despite the changes in the labor market caused by a drop in the unemployment rate, the employers still fail to consider the human factor as a priority (which is contrary to their declarations). Also, they remain unaware of losses brought by high levels of staff turnover.
