摘要:Intensive changes on the labour market in Poland create a serious challenge for employers. A high unemployment rate observed until recently (in January and February 2004 – 20.6%) has been replaced by a deficit of labour force, also due to economic migration. The study presents these areas, in which enterprises especially suffer from this deficit. Actions undertaken by employers in order to alleviate the labour deficit are discussed. Threats and opportunities faced by the Polish economy and connected with this phenomenon are indicated.
