摘要：In Poland among main determinants of the development of the market in wood biomass for energy purposes are the following: climatic hazards, energy safety, legislation, and European Union funds. However the overriding factor is the necessity to reduce CO2 emission to protect the climate. This necessity was the starting point for a series of legal and organisational agreements. Wood biomass for energy purposes may be of special importance under Polish circumstances but there is still a lack of appropriate technical and financial solutions relating to the process of its use. There is also a lack of comprehensive knowledge about its supply and consumption.
