摘要:The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of analytical writing and assessment method on pre-service Turkish teachers' writing skills .In the research, the quantitative method of quasi-experimental method with pre-test and post-test was employed. In the study, data related to students' writing achievement were collected. Wilcoxon signed ranks test, Mann-Whithey U test, frequency and percentage analyses were performed on the quantitative data. The findings revealed a significant difference in the writing achievement of the experimental group. The analytical writing and assessment model led to a significant difference in the experimental group's writing skills with regard to ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, conventions and presentation stages criteria while no significant difference was found between experimental and control groups in terms of punctuation and spelling rules.
