摘要:The subject of this study is to examine and evaluate the opinions of Turkish teachers who teach poetry on the improvement of poetry analysis skills and poetry attitudes of middle school students. The purpose of the study was to determine the views of Turkish teachers about the development of poetry analysis skills and attitudes of middle school students and to examine them in the light of the field literature. Qualitative research design was used in this study. The research group of the study was composed of 16 Turkish teachers selected from Turkish teachers working in secondary schools in the central district of the city of Erzurum with appropriate sampling technique. The data of this study were collected, using the “Semi-structured Teacher Interview Form”, in which there were eight questions, four of which were multiple-choice questions and the other four were open-ended questions. The data obtained in the research were analyzed using content analysis which is one of the data analysis techniques used in qualitative research studies. The obtained data are sorted, presented in tabular form, and discussed in the light of the related literature. In conclusion, it is understood that Turkish teachers think that the methods and activities currently employed to improve the poetry analysis skills and the attitudes of middle school students are not enough.
