摘要:In this study the aim was to prepare activities in accord with the 2 nd grade reading and visual presentation learning outcomes which are part of the Grades 1-5 of the Turkish Language Course Program (2005), and to expound the results based on scientific criteria. In accordance with this goal, a multiple choice test and 16 activities which were based on the 2 nd grade reading and visual presentation learning outcomes were designed and administered, using the action research method. The sample consisted of 10 female and 10 male students in the section 2-C of the Sefaköy 100. Yıl Elementary School in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. The data collection tools were participant observation, researcher diaries, student diaries, student portfolios, video recordings and document analysis. Findings from visual reading and visual presentation activities were presented; using the samples obtained from the students’ worksheets, the findings were expounded; some datawere coded and categorized, doing content analysis; the extent of the students’ improvement was assessed by comparing the pre-test and post-test results and the findings were explicated.
