摘要：This research was conducted to determine educational messages in children’s stories written by Koray Avcı Çakman, one of the Turkish Children’s Literature authors. The study was performed by the case study which is one of qualitative research methods. The embedded single case study method was used as the design of research. Research objects of this study are composed of 56 stories in 5 storybooks of Koray Avcı Çakman. As a data collection method, criteria list indicating 40 different educational messages were prepared. Content analysis was applied to evaluate educational messages which form the data of this research. According to the results of research, the most common category in storybooks of the author is personal development-oriented messages with 33.33%. This category is followed by love-oriented messages with 31.37%, universal values-oriented messages with 26.27% and communication-oriented messages with 9.02%.
