摘要:Creative writing practices that are listed among the important activities for the cognitive development of students, also come to the forefront as a method that is suitable for the contemporary student-centered education. Although there are many studies in literature on this topic, there is no meta-analysis which intends to reach more specific results and generalizations by combining the results of all these studies. For this reason, the aim of the present research was to examine effect of creative writing practices carried out within the scope of Turkish language arts course on students' attitudes, using meta-analysis. The Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software was used in all the analyses required throughout the research. At the end of the analysis which was carried out within 95% reliability range according to the fixed effects model, the average effect size was calculated as 0.669. When this finding is interpreted according to Cohen et al., (2011), it is seen that creative writing activities have a moderate effect on the improvement of students' attitudes.
