摘要:The purpose of this study was to develop a valid and reliable scale that could assess the dependence of Turkish teachers on textbooks. In order to develop the item pool in the study, relevant literature was reviewed, expert opinions were sought and focus group interviews were conducted with teachers. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value of the scale was ,959 and the Bartlett’s Test value was found to be significant at 5% significance level (p <.05). After piloting of the scale, exploratory factor analysis was conducted and 4 subdimensions were identified. Afterwards, confirmatory factor analysis was performed to confirm the structure yielded by the exploratory factor analysis. Based on the results of that analysis, it was determined that the scale had goodness of fit and was validated (RMSEA =, 065, GFI =, 88, AGFI =, 845, CFI =, 953, NFI =, 913). Thus, a valid and reliable scale was developed.
