摘要:In this research, it is aimed to determine the status of Celal Nuri İleri's work New Alphabet and Spelling Lessons in terms of primary reading and writing, to identify the teaching principles, methods and techniques used in the work and to determine its status in terms of grammar teaching. Data were collected by document analysis method. Content analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used to evaluate the data. When Celal Nuri İleri's work is examined, it is seen that it was written in order to introduce and teach the Latin letters and at the same time, reading and writing skills were emphasized among the four basic language skills that are important for Turkish education. When the work is evaluated according to the special teaching methods in Turkish, four principles such as; integrity, vitality, from known to unknown, and relevance to target audience; two methods such as; narrating and demonstrating; and seven techniques such as; question-answer, analysis-synthesis, complementary task, summarizing, repetition, establishing relation, meaning-coded learning, were identified. Examples of these principles, methods and techniques are given from the wor.
