摘要：This article analyzed the local south Serbian newspaper Narodni glas (The People’s Voice) and its writings on confiscation of the private property in Toplica area, especially during the 1945/46. It was the period when most of the confiscations of the property were performed in Serbia and Yugoslavia. The Narodni glas frequently informed its readers on the trials to so-called “the People’s enemies”. Those trials attracted the wide attention among the public. Common for the most of the cases that were charged, no matter the duration of the punishment, was the fact that all of them were sentenced on the confiscation of their property. The author provides indepth analyze of the cases occurred in front of the Military Court, the District and the local courts as well as the War Crimes Court, described illustratively by the Narodni glas.
