摘要：Management of the urban-rural interface is a challenge at European level, in the context of the current concerns about optimizing urban-rural linkages. In this context, the present article analyzes the characteristics of the urban-rural interface of the city of Bucharest (tackled at a mid-territorial scale) and the ways its sustainable and equitable management can be accomplished. At the same time, the article also analyzes the post-1990 changes that occurred inside that interface, under the influence of various forces and actors, with varied interests, which brought about a certain manner of structure and functional organization.
