摘要:The impact of oil spills can adversely affect mangrove ecosystems especially for highly sensitive mangrove ecosystems. On the west coast of Bangka Belitung Island, there are mangrove ecosystems with an area of ± 5614 hectares dominated by Avicennia, Sonneratia alba, and Rhizopora that are sensitive to high sentivity in terms of Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI). By using field data analysis with parameters: mangrove type, duration of deep sea water immersion during tide, fishing activities, tourism, and types of coastline substrate combined with satellite image interpretation and Geographic Information System (GIS) analysis for parameters: coastline slope, mangrove density, mangrove susceptibility to oil spill, and land protection status, it can be determined that this method produces 78% accuracy when compared to manual method (field survey). And through the integration of information between ESI data and simulated oil spills using the Model Tumpahan Minyak (MoTuM) software, it can also provide information on the risk categories for each mangrove ecosystem. This information can be used to develop the necessary mitigation in case of an oil spill to prevent or reduce negative impacts on mangrove ecosystems.
