摘要：This research aims to improve early reading competence using VCD media on the pupils of TK Kudup Sari Sidoluhur, Godean, Sleman. The pupil reading competence can be shown by mentioning symbols of vocal and consonant letters, connecting pictures and words, reading pictures that have simple words and reading their own names.This is a collaborative classroom action research applying a model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. It consists of two phases and each phase contains three meetings. Data were taken by observation and documentation. The subjects of the research are 26 pupils as the Group B of TK Kudup Sari. Analysing data was done using qualitative descriptio.
