摘要:The aims of this research is to find out the effectiveness of motivation training that designed in five steps, i.e. training need assessment, training priorities, training design, training management, and training evaluation with material contents cognitive, emotional, and spiritual aspects to decrease stress levels of six grade students in facing the national exam at SDN Tahunan Umbulharjo Yogya_x005f?karta. This quantitative research is a quasi-experimental design with the model of two group pretest?posttest design. The motivation training was conducted on April 28, 2012 with a population of 47 students, samples in the control group was 22 students and the experimental group was 25 students. The techniques for collecting the data were questionnaires about levels of students stress distributed to students and parents, and interview. The data analyzed used parametric statistics paired samples t?test, the result of t score obtained was 3.944, a significance of 0.001, and the mean score of stress conditions in the experimental group with a control group of 4.5. Because the score of significance 0.001 < 0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. The result shows that motivation training effectively decrease stress levels of six grade students in students at SDN Tahunan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta in facing the national exa.
